Moving to Whistler, BC in August 2011
July 8, 2011
Caroline and I have just signed a lease for a new place in Whistler for August 15th, 2011 and will be moving up by September 1st, 2011. I’m aiming to start my practice in Whistler from September 1st onwards. Initially as I test the water I will be offering a mobile service to come to you, as many people like the convenience of this service.
We’re really excited to be moving to Whistler. We love Vancouver, and I will be continuing to work here 3 days a week as I’m busy here and don’t want to abandon my downtown patients. But we are looking forward to a quieter more relaxed life in Whistler. I’m looking forward to a more peaceful setting as Caroline and I both grew up in the countryside in England. We can’t wait for the winter also, as this will be the first time in my 40 years that I’ll be getting a season pass!
I’ve been in practice for over 12 years now as an osteopathic practitioner in New Zealand, England and Canada. As the recent WHO Benchmark for Osteopathy says:
In some countries, manual therapists use osteopathic techniques and claim to provide osteopathic treatment, although they may not have received proper training.
So, I am happy to be able to offer my skills as a fully qualified osteopath to Whistler. I’m keen on outdoor activities and understand the rigors and strains put on the body by those who engage in them, along with the frustration of injury. My style of osteopathy is primarily structural offering soft tissue work and mobilisation along with visceral and cranial techniques.
My slogan for Whistler is:
Bike, Hike, Climb and Ski; Everybody needs osteopathy!
I look forward to helping you back out into the mountains in September.
